BDP consulting services promote sustained performance for advanced control solutions

BDP Inc. enhanced regulatory control strategies and model-based advanced control strategies have been implemented at various gas processing plants to deliver improved product performance and increased plant stability.  These advanced strategies are typically configured directly in the DCS or PLC control system, using the native programming features available in the vendor software.  Implementing advanced control strategies directly in the DCS/PLC controller can improve the control loop response time, can minimize operator intervention, and can ensure program compatibility when control system version upgrades are required.  While the BDP Inc. control strategy designs are both robust and reliable within the operating characteristics of the target control system, these advanced control strategies are still subject to external influences which may affect sustained performance. 

Periodic visits by the BDP team are recommended to assess the impact of external influences, such as process changes, feedstock changes, contract changes, or loop tuning adjustments.  As with any control strategy, changes in the field devices or process conditions can adversely affect the loop performance.  BDP Inc. offers consulting services to promote sustained performance utilizing advanced control strategies designed and implemented by the BDP team.
