Gas Processors Association Convention

Plan to join us at the 89th Annual Gas Processors Association Convention in Austin, Texas. The technical sessions are scheduled for Monday, March 22nd through Wednesday, March 24, 2010. BDP Inc. is pleased to be presenting two technical papers during this year’s convention.

Barry D. Payne & Associates, Inc. along with Enterprise Products Operating LP will be presenting a case history on Maintaining ROI on APC Investments, discussing continued enhancements of NGL fractionation strategies at the Norco Fractionator. The presentation discusses APC strategy adjustments that were required due to process changes since the original strategies were commissioned, and discusses APC strategy enhancements that were justified to maintain and optimize frac spread performance, which resulted in stable operation and improved profitability. Reliable operation of midstream processes is frequently challenged by a variety of disturbances from both external and internal sources. BDP Inc. will discuss typical disturbances that impair operations, and will present recommendations to Improve Operations Reliability through Upset Management Controls during the Safety and Reliability Forum on Tuesday, March 23rd. Strategies to mitigate upset effects can be very simple or more complex, but when engineered and implemented in the process automation system these strategies have been demonstrated to improve operations reliability.
