Project News:
SCADA
System Integration and Upgrade
BDP Inc. is
currently engaged in a SCADA
system project that includes
system assessment, architecture
design, infrastructure upgrades,
application development, and
system integration to provide
well-to-web solutions. This
project will integrate existing
production assets by evaluating
communication networks, upgrading
IO Servers and HMI workstations,
and providing visualization
solutions for corporate
users. The enhanced SCADA
System provides capability to
monitor real-time production
data, provides saltwater disposal
and injection monitoring, and
initiates callouts for critical
alarms. The BDP team is
providing engineering services to
design, program, test, and
commission the SCADA System
applications.
BDP Inc. is working
closely with software suppliers
and the client’s engineering
team to complete the design and
implementation of the enhanced
SCADA System. The SCADA
System polling will be centrally
located at a regional office
using a licensed radio network to
collect PLC process data and
critical alarms from remote
sites. Production data to support
engineering, operations,
maintenance, and commercial
transactions will be available to
authorized users over an existing
corporate WAN connected to the
SCADA System. This SCADA
System upgrade was justified to
consolidate production and
processing assets in west Texas,
while standardizing SCADA
applications across corporate
assets.
BDP Inc. continues
to support several SCADA Systems
throughout Texas and New Mexico,
as a team effort utilizing BDP,
client, and vendor resources
